Butter London Slapper

I love this color!!! It just makes me smile. It’s definitely not your run-of-the-mill polish color. I looked up the definition of Slapper in the urban dictionary and I didn’t much care for the definition…a girl with no class. Well, hrumph.

I picked this up at Ulta on Monday during their Butter London Buy one, Get one free sale. It was probably good that there was a limit of two polishes per purchase. This was one that was on my list to get. I also picked up Muggins.

This mani is a base coat of Perfect Formula clear Gel Coat, two coats of Slapper and a top coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri clear. The formula on this is amazing! It paints on very controlled (the first photo is without any clean up and while you can still see some polish on my cuticles, there’s not too much) and two coats evens it all out nicely.

After a few days, I decided I wanted to give it a little punch. So, here’s what I did…

Just a subtle stripe of purple/teal glitter! I put two pieces of tape over my nail leaving just a small stripe of nail open. Then I painted the glitter over the tape and exposed nail. I carefully peeled the tape away and was left with this simple little stripe. After it dried, I carefully applied another coat of Insta-Dri.

I like it! It’s very simple nail art that doesn’t go overboard…though some might consider the teal polish overboard. Oh, well!

Is this a nail art design you might wear? What color combo would you try?

  1. Slapper is one of my all time favorite polishes…along with about two dozen others! 🙂
