Zoya Jem and some quick nail art

Oooh, this Zoya Jem is really pretty! Zoya describes this color as:

A dark red-toned purple base with metallic dark pink highlights and subtle gold duochrome flecks

And I think that’s really accurate! Yes, I took these pictures in my car…I was not driving and blogging! The sun was hiding a little yesterday so I took some natural light pictures when they were available!

This next picture really shows off that sparkle. This color is so rich and vampy looking. Perfect for fall! The formula on this was perfect. I applied nicely without any dragging or bald spots. One coat covered well, but when I held my nails up to the light I could still see through the polish a bit so I did a second coat. And my go-to top coat is my fave Insta-Dri (Sally Hansen!).

Now you can see the little bit of nail art I did. It’s Essie Good as Gold. Here’s what I did:

1. Get a strip of regular clear tape.
2. Cut it in half long-wise with some pinking shears. That makes two strips. Put the strips on the nails to make the chevron. I also noticed that you could put it on to make a row of little boxes/diamonds! Fun!
3. Paint over the tape and remove it very quickly. That metallic/chrome polish dried very quickly. I had to do a second coat after an hour or so to get a clean design.
4. Apply your top coat and it’s good to go!

Love me some Zoya! Don’t forget about my giveaway going on now:a Rafflecopter giveaway
