Sorority Mani!!

This is a very special mani for my sorority sisters, who I’ll get to see very soon!! I’ve never done nails like this with a different design on every nail. It was pretty fun! And I’ve been getting lots of comments on them.

So here it is!!

Polish used:

Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps base coat
Zoya Song – base color
Zoya Electra* – index finger
Essie No Place Like Chrome – middle and pinky
OPI Silver Snowflake – ring finger
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Clear as top coat

On the thumb and ring finger, I used decals *I made* with my Silhouette Cameo! The thumb design are my sorority’s greek letters. The ring finger is the Eiffel Tower (with the glitter to be like stars)! I didn’t know if the Cameo could cut something that small and I was pleasantly surprised. I just stuck the vinyl decal on and put a coat of clear on top. Easy peasy.

The middle finger was painted blue and then I took a piece of tape and cut it into an arrow point and put the tape on the bottom of my nail. Then I painted the silver from the base to the tip and pulled off the tape. A fun, easy way to get a two-toned look.  The dots on my pinky finger were made with a pearl-topped straight pin stuck into the eraser end of a pencil.

My index finger uses the new Zoya Electra*, from the Ornate Holiday 2012 collection. The collection is 6 polishes and I really like this bar holo glitter! It reminds me of tinsel! I probably wouldn’t use it on its own, but it’s beautiful as a top coat. The other five polishes in the collection are equally (or more) gorgeous and I’ll review those next week.
