OPI Gwen Stefani

I’ve got two pretty polishes from the Gwen Stefani collection by OPI.

But first.

Have you used this Yellow Stopper?

It’s a top coat that’s supposed to keep your nails from yellowing. The bottle says

Apply daily to natural nails or over a French manicure to prevent yellowing. Do not use over colored polish.

Well, I’ve read several reviews that said it made their polish chip. Then I saw a FB post by ellagee about using it as a base for glitter polish. The polish comes right off in one sheet!! Well, this I’ve gotta try. I would normally wear this over a colored base.

So, here is two coats of yellow stopper then three coats of OPI In True Stefani Fashion. This is day 1.

It’s not opaque and you can definitely see the natural nail underneath when you’re this close. But further away they just look awesomely blingy. I got so many compliments on this polish!

So, two days later and just a minute or so with the orange stick led to this…

Yep. Looks like it worked! But it tore up the tops of my nails.

I buffed the rough places out and decided that I had the perfect base to try out Push and Shove. It’s a chrome silver and gorgeous.

This is one coat of Rejuvicote, a coat of Lay Down that Base (a special base coat that came as a mini with Push and Shove) and then two coats of Push and Shove.

It’s a super finicky polish but totally worth it. My 5 year old looked at it and said, “Oooh, mommy, that has reflection!” She then asked for it on her nails.

What do you think?
